Probably most of what you've heard about warts isn't actually true. They are quite safe. Even the most tidy person can get one, two or three warts. Better to learn about simple home remedies to help you fight warts.
Warts are benign growths on the skin that usually appear on the hands, elbows and knees. They occur when the human papillomavirus (HPV) enters the top layer of the skin, the epidermis, often through cuts or abrasions. Children are usually more prone to developing warts than adults (a young and not yet strong immune system may be the cause) and yet they can appear at any age and, most annoyingly, it is quite difficult toget rid of them. But, as you know, nothing is impossible, especially with these home remedies, which we invite you to get acquainted with.
1. May to dust
Mix yeast powder with castor oil until a smooth paste is formed, then apply the mixture on the wart and leave it overnight. Better to bandage the wart with a bandage. Remove the dressing the next morning and repeat the procedure if necessary.
2. Baking soda
You can also try wetting the wart with baking soda. Dissolve baking soda in water and rinse the wart on your hands or feet. Wait for the baking soda water to dry naturally and do this again until the wart disappears.
3. Diet
Your diet can affect and cause warts. Eat foods that boost your immune system, such as garlic, sweet potatoes, whole grain breads, sunflower seeds and rice.
4. Garlic
Garlic contains two main elements that are responsible for the health of your body: allicin and diallyl disulfide.
Apply minced garlic or onion on the wart or just eat fresh garlic. If you do not want to smell Italian food, try swallowing 3 cloves of garlic three times a day or chewing parsley to freshen your breath after garlic.
5. Hot water
Studies show that immersing a wart in very hot water is beneficial because hot water will smooth out the wart and can kill the virus. Just make sure the water is not too hot to avoid scalding.
6. Vitamin C
Crush a vitamin C tablet and add a little water to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on the wart and bandage it. Vitamin C may be a slight tingling sensation, which will help the wart disappear faster.
7. Vitamin E
Break a vitamin E tablet or capsule, apply a little oil on the wart and tie it with an adhesive bandage. Repeat this procedure three times a day. Be sure to remove the bandage at night so that the affected area can breathe and start the next day with vitamin E oil.
8. Castor oil
The acids found in castor oil are used effectively to remove warts. Castor oil works well for small, flat warts on the inside of the hand. Apply castor oil on the wart with a cotton swab twice a day.
9. Carrots
Finely grate the carrots and add enough olive oil to make a paste. Apply the paste on the wart twice a day for two to three weeks, holding for about 30 minutes.
10. Lemon juice
Treat the wart with fresh lemon juice, then place finely chopped onions on the wart and hold it for 30 minutes once a day. Treatment should last two to three months for best results.
11. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera can also be a great solution for warts. Apply the pulp from the leaves on the affected area with a cotton swab and bandage it. Repeat this procedure every day until the wart disappears.
